Not an Amelia Earhart Cosplay

LOOKIT THAT.

That's right. In a few short days, I have somehow managed to obtain (without having asked for it or having spent a dime [on anything but the goggles]) a bomber jacket, scarf, mittens, AND leather goggles. Which, I think, are only fake leather, but THEY LOOK GOOD, which is enough for me.

So this afternoon's project was creating these lovely goggles, which I only spent about... what, less than $20 on, if I'm not mistaken. I bought some steel rings (which look gold), artificial sinew, a used PURSE for the leather and a pair of used SHOES for the buckles (both of which were obtained at Goodwill), a pair of sunglasses I had lying around... and a bloody plumbing coupler (or rather, the jem nuts from it). Held together by hot glue, a song, and a prayer.

That jacket, btw, is BOSS. Just sayin'.
